Peace in the Midst of it All

9/17/2020

Peace, we all need it, we crave it. With all the things that are on our minds we race from one thing to another. I can barely focus sometimes as there are so many things pulling at me. I cannot do it on my own. I lay it down in surrender. The ways of the Lord are so different than ours. As we take the time we don’t even feel we have and give it to Him by spending time in His Word, prayer and listening, He blesses it. Blessing often looks like time multiplied, things get done faster, better and anointed. There is a peace in whatever the pace or direction things go as His hand is upon our life. Why in the world do I do it any other way! With a large family and lots of ideas I cannot possibly get things done, it actually feels like an insurmountable mountain.

Take a moment to stop and think about Jesus, tell Him you love Him. Do not ask for anything, let Him know you are here for Him and open to whatever He wants for you. Just be still for a moment.

Maybe He dropped something into your heart, maybe it was just a moment to be in His presence, maybe your thoughts overpowered. The Lord loves you and loves that you take time to just be with Him. I am so blessed when my family lingers after dinner. I spend time cooking and cleaning and when we eat its more than food, its family time. I miss them during the day so I love when its more than gulp and bolt! Jesus loves us and wants to spend time with us!
The Lord speaks to us through the Holy Spirit and He gives us peace, a peace that passes understanding. That’s how we know we are on the right path. We all know that gut check and have pushed through it only to regret it down the line. The Lord gives us His own version of a gut check but it’s a peace or lack of it. Following that peace will lead you where you need to be! Walk with Him!
2 Peter 3 :14, “So, beloved, since you are looking forward to these things, be diligent and make every effort to be found by Him [at His return] spotless and blameless, in peace [that is, inwardly clam with a sense of spiritual well being and confidence, having lived a life of obedience to Him].”
Be Blessed today and spend some time with the God who Loves you more than anything, so much He sent His Son to die for you!
Love you!
