Seeing Clearly

4/22/2015

Good Morning! Today I get to share this website with a group of wonderful young men and women who are learning their true value and worth. Oddly enough I woke up feeling defeated. I have made mistakes in my life and others have caused me to experience a lot of hurt, I grabbed my tea and headed for God's word, turning to Proverbs 18:9-10, it reads, "He who is loose and slack in his work is brother to a destroyer and he who does not use His endeavors to heal himself is brother to him who commit suicide.
my brother actually did commit suicide". I can honestly say that was the biggest storm of my life. Divorce, abuse, failures , the list goes on cannot compare to that. Maybe that is partly why I could continue and overcome because I feel if I got through that , "this" is nothing. I desire healing, I cannot say life brings you to a plateau and you slide but you come to realize it is a press, a daily press. Keep pressing forward to overcome! I choose to take the myriad of bad and good things that have come into my life and still in the midst of tears and pain I reach up for my healing and out to others. We cannot always wait until we arrive at a perfect place to begin using what we have experienced to reach out to others. We must let our light shine into the lives of others! My heart is that I hope what I have gone through can bring some insight to encourage another in the midst of their storm. I am a firm believer that we experience healing in our own lives as we help others!
The last part of the verse says, "The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and they are safe and strong!"
Be strong today, no matter where you are or what you believe, know you are designed and created with a purpose and without mistake~ and you are loved!

Beauty for Ashes

4/21/2015

I love hearing about people's stories, their testimonies now matter where they are in the journey. We are all have commonality and can find solace in one another's struggles. There is great strength found in encouragement. Waling away from a conversation of encouragement causes you to feel you can rise up and continue. I want to encourage you today to bee that encourager and peacemaker. When people want to embrace negativity just do not buy into it, chose to walk away from those words and as the Word of God says take captive your thoughts. Reject destructive words and embrace words that build and edify. Today think about what brings you the most joy and how might that fit in with your life goals. If it doesn't, reevaluate things and how can you incorporate what brings joy and life to your heart into your every day, whether it be work or daily mantras. Be blessed my friend!

Good Enough

4/20/2015

I will be transparent and admit I do not always feel good enough. I set a high bar for myself and feel as if I fall short. My failings and mistakes try to keep me immobilized. I have two teenage daughters who I see struggle with the same issue in their own lives and it is amazing how clear to me as a mother how wrong that thinking is. They are beautiful inside and out, both unique individuals. They compare themselves to others and find fault in themselves. When they voice defeat it breaks my heart. How we must break the heart of God, our Father and Creator when we find fault and verbalize rejection and defeat in our lives. Our lives are precious and this is bad English but...God don't make no junk! Somehow that gets the point across. If I could encourage you today...write down your dreams and the things you desire to do, see and experience. When done with the list think, this is from a heart that desires to live life, a person of value, worth and has much to offer. Let that list be an inspiration to go forward with a zest for life.
If you struggle to come up with things write down what you find enjoyable, even if it is a simple as looking at the dew on the grass or walking through a field. The idea is to know your heart and know you are beautiful inside and out!

Rainy Day Thoughts

4/19/2015

Good Morning~
Today is a new day, I have been up for hours and fluctuate between doing what I want and what I need to. But what is most important and the best choice is spending time quietly listening to God and what He has to say about my day. The light filters through the rainy sky a faint glow makes the grass seem so green, I do not even mind it is too long. My soul finds peace in this sight ...but the true peace comes in the words that God is my provider and He is faithful. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you! So one of the first steps in pursing the dreams you have for your life is putting God first, He has wisdom and will guide those who seek Him. Enjoy today and let it be a wonderful new beginning to your everyday!

The Berries are Coming

4/18/2015

I am blessed to live in the country, it is my solace , it feeds my soul. The berry blossoms are out and some have started to bear fruit. I began to contemplate God's abundant provision and how now matter how many berries me and my family and others pick there is always an abundance beyond, an overflowing blessing. I began to wonder why. I do not feel deserving of such goodness and beauty but it is not because of who I am or what I do but WHO HE is! My God is an awesome God and has a beautiful plan of provision for me. He waits like a gentleman for me to come to Him and He is gentle and loving. How beautiful are the moments we can find beauty in the simple things like the dew on the grass, a sunset, even the beginning of berries!

A new day!

4/15/2015

It is a new day, mornings have a way of restating a new beginning...I like to think of each day as a new start. I can do things differently and better than the day before. So we put our trust, lean on and hope in the Lord, and He will nor disappoint us. We must believe He will  do His part, all He asks of us is to believe. I find I can believe in Him but struggle with believing in myself. I then am reminded of the passage, Greater is He who is in me than He who is in the world. WHOA! If He is in me than nothing should limit me as He empowers me to accomplish above what I can ask or think!
Psalm 25:4 says, Show me your ways O Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and faithfulness and teach me.. I want to be taught and guided but one with knowledge, wisdom and insight. We all do, that is why we go to school, read books and seek counsel, that is why you are reading this right now. Okay, so today  be encouraged to look to God for His guidance. Just say to Him, Lord I want to see your hand in my life, guide me and show me your ways, I want to make them my own! Be blessed my friend!

Welcome to Journal Your Dream! We all come from various backgrounds and experiences and have things we can share and glean from one another. This is a venue in which we can encourage, motivate and grow.
